We are back!!!

Due to the announcement from both the Government and England Athletics that you can now exercise in small groups of up to 6 people, we are pleased to say that we are now able to start running events again.

Every event will have a maximum of 5 people with 1 Run Leader, and social distancing guidelines will be upheld at all times. Yours and our safety is very important to us, and whilst we are keen to get going again, we want to make sure we are doing so in a safe way. Because of this we will not be able to offer some of the benefits that we normally would with our guided runs, so until we are allowed to resume normal service we will be running events at a slightly reduced price to compensate for this. Smaller group sizes does have one benefit though, as this means we will be able to run events more frequently due to less permits needed.

We will also be holding events in different locations to normal, and we will be doing this in locations that will be less busy, with routes that are easy to pass other members of the public and keep a safe distance on.

Our first event is coming up on Sunday 21st June, starting in Trowse following parts of the Boudicca Way to an old Roman town, before heading back to Trowse. Covering a distance of 10 miles, this is a surprisingly hilly route, with great views out across the countryside. At the time of writing there was just one place left, and you can find out more info on the events page. If you would like to attend an event and you have a place deffered from a previous cancelled event, please email us at escapetrails@outlook.com and we will give you priority.

Other news

During lock down we have been working on plans to bring you more trail running experiences, which we will be announcing soon, but in the mean time here are a few things we have lined up –

– Trail running weekend on the Norfolk coast.
– New merchandise.
– Coaching.
– Trail running escape in Snowdonia.
– Gear testing days.
– Escape Trails Ambassadors.

We hope you are managing to keep safe, and we can’t wait to be out running with you again.

Don’t just take our word for it

positive review  I just wanted to say a big thank you to Neil and Hannah, for my intro to trail running at West Harling Woods. I am new to running, but am drawn to running off road, what a great location to try it out in. The hosts were very knowledgeable, I learned a lot about equipment, techniques and warming up and down and had fun too! Thanks guys, I will definitely be joining you for a guided run soon.

positive review  I absolutely loved the Intro to Trail Running at Harling Woods this morning. Neil and Hannah shared their knowledge from what kit you need to hill trail running. I even learned some new stretches at the end that I will be introducing regularly. The forest was beautiful and the pace was social so all abilities were included. Everyone had a big grin on their faces and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Escape Trails is perfectly named. After the crazy fortnight I have just had I really did feel I had escaped for a few hours. I feel physically and mentally energised. Thank you Neil and Hannah, I look forward to joining you again soon 😀
