Guided Trail Run Buxton
Join us for a guided trail run from Buxton, starting out near the Bure Valley Railway, before heading across the countryside, and down to the river Bure. The route then follows the river for the rest of the run, staying completely off road with lots of potential to see some wildlife.
This run will be 6 miles long – Please note that whilst aiming to be as accurate to this as possible, in some circumstances we may be slightly over or under this mileage, but this will be very slightly.
What pace will we be running at?
You will be put into a group based on your ability.
All runs are led at a conversational pace, ESCAPE trails events are about taking in the scenery and enjoying the trails, not racing. Please be aware that you may not be the slowest person in your group, and you may need to run at a slower pace than normal.
Experience Level? Easy These runs are suitable for anyone that’s been running on the road, and is now taking their first steps in to trail running. The terrain will be mostly flat, with very few obstacles. They are also suitable for anyone that is looking for a nice relaxed run, where they can just enjoy the trails without having to worry about pace.
How long will we be running?
We allow 2 hours for this event, but this will depend on the abilities of the people attending. We want everyone to be able to enjoy it without feeling rushed, and to have time to answer any questions that you may have.
A fully qualified and experienced Run Leader to guide you around on trails.

There is plenty of free parking at the Bure Valley Walk carpark.
What will I need?
We will be running on a variety of terrain from tracks and hard-packed trails, to grassy fields, road shoes will be fine as long as we don’t have too much rain beforehand.
Waterproof jacket and depending on the weather sun cream
At least 500ml of water and as many snacks as you think you’ll need.
Most importantly a willingness to enjoy the trails and have fun.
