High Lodge 10k Guided Trail Run – February
Join us for a 10k guided trail run through the beautiful surroundings of High Lodge in Thetford Forest.
With it’s miles of woodland trails, High Lodge is a perfect location for trail running, and a perfect getaway from the stresses of life. Every trail leads to something different to explore, with endless potential to spot wildlife.
We are really excited to be able to offer guided runs in this fantastic location, and can’t wait to show you around the brilliant trails.
This run will be 10k. You will be running over a mixture of terrain, ranging from hard packed tracks to soft forest trails.
What pace will we be running at?
You will be put into a group based on your ability.
All runs are led at a conversational pace, ESCAPE trails events are about taking in the scenery and enjoying the trails, not racing. Please be aware that you may not be the slowest person in your group, and you may need to run at a slower pace than normal.
Experience Level? Easy These runs are suitable for anyone that’s been running on the road, and is now taking their first steps in to trail running. The terrain will be mostly flat, with very few obstacles. They are also suitable for anyone that is looking for a nice relaxed run, where they can just enjoy the trails without having to worry about pace.
A fully qualified and experienced Run Leader to guide you around on trails.

There is plenty of parking at High Lodge. For attendees parking will be charged at £2
What will I need?
We will be running on a variety of terrain from hard-packed tracks, to single track trails through woods. Trail shoes would be recommended, but road shoes will be OK if that is all you have.
Waterproof jacket and depending on the weather sun cream
Water/drinks and as many snacks as you think you’ll need.
Most importantly a willingness to enjoy the trails and have fun.
Other things to do at High Lodge?
There are plenty of facilities and activities at High Lodge for once you’ve finished your run, including bike trails and a Cafe.
