Had such a great experience on my first trail run with the group. Everyone was really welcoming and supportive, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and inclusive from the start.
I loved that it wasn’t focused on pace or pressure — just getting outdoors, moving, chatting and enjoying the trails. The route was beautiful and really well organised, with options to suit different abilities which made it feel very approachable.
As someone new to organised trail running, it completely changed my perception of what trail running could be. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a friendly, supportive introduction to trail running. Thank you to Neil and the team.

I attended my first event with Escape Trails, running the 19 mile North Norfolk footpath from Holme-next-the-sea to Wells, It was a very enjoyable event, well organized, nice group of runners, no one got left behind and I would recommend to try a Escape Trail event if you are thinking of or want to know what a ultra is all about.

I signed up to the Suffolk Backyard Ultra and Tom coached me for 8 months. Up until this point my main distance was marathons but prior to training with Tom I had taken a year of events so spent 12 months running no more than 10k distances. Tom's careful planning and guidance not only ensured that I was event ready but there was flexibility to fit my training around family and work commitments. I managed to complete 21 yards (hours) covering over 88 miles. I would highly recommend Escape Trails.

A massive thank you to Tom who coached me to get to the finish line of The Lap. Tom provided a plan tailored to my abilities that pushed me to become a stronger, more resilient runner. He provided support when my confidence wained and helped me build confidence in my ability to be able to complete the event.
Thank you

I highly recommend the Norfolk Coastal Guided Run to everyone! I usually run alone, but it was much more enjoyable to run with others. Everyone was friendly, and the day felt relaxed. It was great to just run and chat without having to worry about pace or navigation; I simply chatted with the person next to me and followed the feet ahead.
I will definitely be signing up for this run again and will explore other Escape Trail events as well.
If you're unsure about doing one of these runs, just book it!
